In this two part virtual training learning path, you'll begin by learning how Yugabyte Cloud Query Language (YCQL) is a Cassandra compatible API by using the Data Definition Language (DDL) and Data Manipulation Language (DML) to create tables and queries. Then in the second virtual training course you'll dive deep into how to create a query-driven data model design for a semi-relational database. Understanding how to test and tune a denormalized data model will ensure you are building a database that will perform at global scale.
YugabyteDB YCQL Development Fundamentals
In this virtual training, you'll learn about the basic language features of Yugabyte Cloud Query Language (YCQL), an Apache Cassandra compatible query language . For our next event, view our calendar.
YugabyteDB YCQL Development Intermediate
In this virtual training, you'll learn how to design the data model for Yugabyte Cloud Query Language (YCQL). For our next event, view our calendar.

In order to enroll into this two part virtual training learning path, visit the calendar of events located on the View Calendar button.
This will navigate you to a list of upcoming events. If you see the first virtual training course, YugabyteDB YCQL Development Fundamentals, is available, select this event to enroll. The subsequent courses in this learning path will be offered in consecutive order on a weekly basis, so be sure to enroll in each course to complete the learning path.
If the first course of the YugabyteDB YCQL Development learning path, YugabyteDB YCQL Development Fundamentals, is not on the current University event calendar, note that this calendar is updated on a weekly basis. If you fail to see then intro course to a learning path added to the calendar within a couple weeks contact the #training channel in the Yugabyte community slack, yugabyte-db, to ask when a specific learning path will begins.
Please note that with concurrent learning paths launching on the calendar, there can be as long as a month between learning path cycles.
